About LochenHeath Golf Course
LochenHeath Golf Club sits in the heart of Northern Michigan, resting atop a scenic bluff overlooking East Grand Traverse Bay on the northwestern coast of the Lower Peninsula. Appropriate to one of Northern Michigan's biggest agricultural exports, the renowned golf course at LochenHeath was once a cherry orchard owned and operated for over 75 years by the Maitland family. Fifteen years ago, the Maitlands converted the orchard into a luxury golf course.
This private club opened to great fanfare as a residential golf course development, centered by the award-winning 7,239 yard course designed by acclaimed Florida architect Steve Smyers. This impressive community features generous luxury home sites situated throughout a brilliant championship golf course. Several of these home sites number among the most beautiful and highly sought-after waterfront lots in the area. LochenHeath's distinctive and elegant architectural style creates a unique residential identity. Just north of downtown Traverse City, LochenHeath is a paradise for lovers of the outdoors, golf and beautiful East Grand Traverse Bay.
